Design a portable unit for transporting a heart, harvested for a transplant procedure. The Life Cradle is a self contained unit that incorporates a cooling feature to preserve the organ tissue. It also incorporates a pumping system, which provides a flow of oxygenated liquid to keep the heart viable. Probasco Design’s goal was to deliver a modern, yet rugged and light weight design solution. Our work resulted in Life Cradle being easy to use and service, fit for transporting in any vehicle, and appealing in function and aesthetics.
